Picture this…you booked your session, you’re SO excited to have updated photos, but you have no CLUE where to start when it comes to what to wear for your session.

Well YAY! I’m glad you found this post!! This will give you a brief and simple rundown of what to wear to your session!!

COLORS TO WEAR FOR YOUR SESSION

Neutrals + earthy colors + emerald tones are ALWAYS great ways to go!!! Don’t get too busy with it. If one of you is wearing a pattern, make sure the other person wears something that compliments it! Make sure you aren’t BOTH wearing stripes 😉

TEXTURES TO WEAR FOR YOUR SESSION

Textures are a GREAT way to add life to your gallery!! This can be anything from a flowy dress, a jean jacket, a textured top, a felt hat, bandana, braids in your hair, ripped jeans, etc! Feel free to get creative and wear what you feel looks like YOU!

ADDING LAYERS TO YOUR FIT

Don’t be afraid to layer up! Adding layers = adding texture!! The fall and winter seasons are a perfect time for adding layers to your outfits!!

HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT WHAT YOU WEAR

Sometimes LESS > MORE

Wear something YOU LOVE!! If you don’t FEEL yourself or feel confident in an outfit, don’t wear it. Wear something that you feel comfortable and confident in! Be YOU, even if that leans more casual! 😉

I love and value and am obsessed with capturing couples in such an organic and personality-filled way! This means I love capturing who YOU are — if you never ever wear fake eyelashes or cat-eye eyeliner… don’t do it for your session. If fake eyelashes and eyeliner are your jam, go for it and rock em!!
I’m not saying you have to show up without your hair done and no makeup… not at all. Curl that hair, wear that makeup, be YOU! Just know that you don’t have to get done up in a way that isn’t you!
